Michael Curtis Harriel, 56, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at Our Lady Of The Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge.

Born in Bogalusa on Sept. 13, 1956, he was a veteran who served in the United States Navy.

He is survived by a daughter, Amber Harriel; two sons, Travis Harriel and Nicholas Harriel; his father, Sammie C. Harriel; his sister, Rena Harriel; his brother, Donnie (Sis) Harriel; and two grandchildren, Dawson Palmer and Bailey Palmer.

His mother, Bettye Lowe Harriel, preceded him in death.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 10 at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 5-9 p.m., and will continue on Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Lynn Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Steephollow Cemetery in Poplarville, Miss.
