Robert Burgess, 47, of Petal died Friday December 2, 2011 University Medical Center. Services will be Monday December 5, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Petal Civic Center followed by burial in Hillcrest Cemetery. Mr. Burgess was a member of Petal Independent Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Nelda Burgess. He is survived by his wife, Shannon Burgess of Petal; two sons, Jared and Jordan Burgess both of Petal; one sister, Vickie Burgess of Denham Springs, La.; one brother, Bryan Burgess of California. Visitation will be Sunday from 5-9 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home in Petal.
